Signature Hand-Waxed Cotton

Originally used by Eighteenth Century sailors, Belstaff water repellent wax cotton is beloved by bikers for its unbeatable protection, its longevity and its endurance. The heritage fabric offers freedom, comfort and breathability in a low-shine finish that can be re-waxed in lieu of cleaning. Triple waxed to simulate years of use at the outset, it only improves with wear. The Classic Trialamaster Tourist Trophy Jacket uses a 10oz coating.

Heritage Check Lining

The Belstaff Classic Trialmaster Tourist Trophy Jacket uses the traditional heritage check lining ensures comfort, breathability and classic style. The same quality fabric and English check have lined the inside of Belstaff jackets since 1948. This lining sits behind the removable Belstaff Thermal lining.

Bellows Pockets

The collapsible bellows pocket was designed to keep personal effects dry and secure without adding extra bulk while riding. A feature of the original four-pocket Trialmaster, it retains an ergonomic advantage and is woven throughout the outerwear collection as a design detail. This jacket has four Bellows pockets, two on the chest and two lower down at waist level.

Zipper Pull

Designed with a gloved hand in mind, the Belstaff signature ring zipper pull makes it easy for the biker to operate closures while in motion. Knurling at the ring aids grip and symbolizes classic moto style. This type of zip fastener is a new addition to the Belstaff range with the Belstaff Classic Trialmaster Tourist Trophy being one of the first to receive the 'update'.

Archival knurling is an industrial cross-hatched pattern in metal. Engineered with orological precision, it keeps buckles secure and provides an easy grip on buttons and zipper pulls. A new improvement on Belstaff Jackets, all Pure Motorcycle Collection jackets now have this. The Classic Trialmaster Tourist Trophy Jacket benefits from improved buckle, buttons and zip fastener.

Aerators were traditionally placed under the sleeves of a biker’s jacket to add breathability without sacrificing wind tight protection. Today, archival aerators also appear on hoods, handbags and as decorative hardware honouring the moto tradition. The Belstaff Trialmaster Classic Tourist Trophy Jacket includes Aerators under the arm pits and also in the sleeves.

Reinforced Shoulders And Elbows

Originally designed to protect riders as they took risks around sharp bends, reinforced patches at the elbows and shoulders came to symbolize iconic biker style. They now serve as a distinctive Belstaff design detail.

More About the Protectors

Starting from the new PM 2013 collection, all sytles will be provided with the "intelligent" soft protectors by D3O Lab.

D30 is a patented protective material that combines enhanced chemistry with product engineering to produce high performance shock absorption and impact protection solutions.

The Molecular structure of the composite material allows protectors to be soft and maleable under normal conditions, but when shocked by sudden force, the molecules lock up to absorb the impact energy and then instantly return to their flexible state to spread the force.

This characteristic makes the protectors flexible, comfortable, yet offering total protection.

D3O components integrate perfectly into garments, so that neither the style nor the function are compromised. Their light weight is such that their presence inside the garment is almost unperceived.

  1. Wearing this jacket is like riding a newer Hinckley Triumph Twin... Review by Wakx
Value look and feel like a million bucks! But where the form is beautiful, the function leaves a lot to be desired! My biggest gripe is that on long cold rides, the arms quickly get chilly. The jacket is windproof, but the thinness of the arms means they get cold easily. Also, the old-school metal zippers get stuck too often. Lastly, I wish it had a space for back protection.

I live in the PNW. So, I recommend this jacket for short winter commutes and long spring and fall trips. I haven't yet experienced the jacket in the summer. Oh, and to close the loop on the Belstaff/Triumph metaphor. I love my Bonnie, but it could have more functional modern updates. Like a built-in helmet lock; key-locked seats, compartments, and gas cap; and a better seat. But both the bike and the jacket turn heads and get compliments everywhere I go. That sure makes it worth it for me. (Posted on 2/6/2013)

  2. Great purchase Review by Nick R

I bought this jacket in December. I tried a few on when in europe last year and really wanted to make the investment.

I waited until the 2013 version came out and it has exceeded expectations.

The jacket has worked great in the current Nthn California winter and with the water proofing product has been perfect.

The new d30 armor is great as its moves with you and seems to be more innovative. There is also a pocket in the back of the jacket to fit a d30 back protector. I purchased one that fits a Klim jacket for $40.

Couldn't be happier with the purchase. (Posted on 1/3/2013)

  3. Another awesome Belstaff jacket Review by Erich Hartman

I have wanted this jacket for some time now and finally opened up my wallet to buy it. I am blown away at the quality. The look is classic and cool all in one.
Paul and BMG is the best online retailer I have ever dealt with. I actually bought 2 of these jacket's due to not knowing which size i needed, I was able to return the one that I didn't want no questions asked.

    Thanks I will be back!

  4. Another amazing experience! Review by nick

Another amazing experience with British Motorcycle Gear! Paul is first class! These Belstaff jackets (my 3rd) is by far the best and coolest, over all, jackets I've ever owned, on and off a bike......
Hats off to Paul and staff at British Motorcycle Gear!!! (Posted on 1/5/2012)

  5. Excellent Quality & Looks, NOT Waterproof Review by Kevin D.

I am deeply disappointed to write this review with such low marks. I have been drooling over this jacket for sometime and finally sprung for it about 6 months ago. The craftsmanship of this jacket is superb. The warmth and wind protection is outstanding. The fit and style makes even the wearer jealous because it's so nice!

Unfortunately, it is simply not waterproof.

For this last reason, I cannot rate this jacket admirably as it is advertised and known for its waterproof capabilities. In fact, that's one of the primary reasons I bought it.

The up side, is that this defect should be easily rectified. In short, there are 3 small aerator holes under each "armpit" of the jacket. These are supposed to help the jacket breathe in warm weather. Today I rode in the rain for the first time since purchasing the jacket (hey, I live in Southern California!) and my upper body was pretty well soaked. My back was dry as a bone. But my chest and arms were very wet. The wax cotton and the seems work flawlessly. The waterproof pockets kept my cell phone dry and safe. However, those 3 aerator holes really screwed me over. I am now in pursuit of some waterproof material that I can have my local tailor sew to the inside of the jacket to cover up those holes. If I cannot waterproof this jacket, I'll be forced to sell it because I need to use it for touring purposes, not just style. (Posted on 10/4/2011)

  6. GREAT JACKET Review by JC

The jacket is not only cool but it actually works. I took a tumble on my trip and along with a back protector insert the jacket did it's job allowing me to continue to ride. (Posted on 8/23/2011)

  7. Cool as heck! Review by Brit in NYC

I'd been seriously considering getting a belstaff all winter and finally picked the Tourist Trophy at the NYC International Motorcycle Show in Jan. Im so glad i did. Its a phenomenal jacket. Living in NYC i had been to Bloomingdales, Barneys and Bergdorfs (all very good dept stores) but none of the belstaff's i saw there seemed to be thick enough or tough enough. The Tourist Trophy looks great, has a zip out liner AND CE rated body armor. I went into J-Crew (who also have belstaff jackets) the other day and 2 of the salespeople were all over me asking me about the jacket and how cool it was. When they found out it was a higher specification jacket than anything they had and for LESS money they couldn't believe it. Bottom Line: This jacket is the "Dog's Boll*cks" (that's a good thing for all you non British readers). You will not be disappointed. (Posted on 3/9/2011)

  8. High quality - great fit Review by Paul T

Firstly, thanks to Paul @ BMG for helping me find the correct size. Quality of this jacket is outstanding, and performance is very good. I have ridden at speed in 30 degrees and hard rain and have been generally comfortable. Traditional styling is cool, but I purchased the jacket for durability and to replace my ancient Trialmaster. Regarding fit, I am athletic 6'3", 220lb, and the XXL is perfect. Highly recommend BMG. (Posted on 3/4/2011)

  9. Amazing product Review by Scott Tominovich

I expected to be dissapointed when I ordered this jacket as I am a real stickler for details. When I first took it out of the box I was completely blown away - gorgeous, sturdy, attention to detail - just an amazing product. 10+ stars. (Posted on 11/15/2010)

  10. Classic Style with Italian attention to detail Review by Robert Downs

I just wore my Tourist Trophy to dinner at a very Posh restaurant and everyone seemed to be looking at me when I walked in. When I walked out and got on my Ducati again everyone seemed to be watching me then I saw my reflection in the window.. Style and Function this Belstaff has it all. (Posted on 9/9/2010)

  11. Great jacket, could be warmer... Review by Nobby Plancton

I have just got this jacket and it looks fantastic. The quality is obvious at a glance. Beautifully made and just feels luxurious as you pull it on.
As you pull up the zip and clip up all your buttons and then do up your waist and neck buckles you feel like your ready to go on an expedition.
However, on a recent motorway jaunt on a chilly British winter evening I could clearly feel the cold penetrating even the "super modern thermal lining".. especially my arms which don't get the aforementioned lining atall. That said, If you simply wear another layer it's sorted and you turn up in considerable style. No regrets, it's a smasher ! (Posted on 11/13/2008)
