Belstaff Mojave Leather Motorcycle Jacket
- Product Review (submitted on February 6, 2011):
The jacket fits perfectly, even though I was somewhat leery to follow the recommended size. I measure at 42" chest, and this site suggested XL. Normally I take M or L, but I phoned BMG and they said go with the XL. They were bang on. Phone BMG with your measurements.
The jacket looks even better in person than on the site, and it hits the mark for authentic vintage. The leather is appropriate motorcycle grade, and certainly appears up to the task of protection.
The armour fits brilliantly, and is also easy to remove. In fact, it's one of the better armoured mc jackets I've owned for correct placement and comfort.
My only concern is the liner. As there are no ventilation zippers, just armpit ports, I am thinking it might be a little on the warm to hot side once summer temperatures reach their stride. I might look into removal of the liner.
Conclusion: gorgeous look, contemporary vintage appeal, well fitted armour that contours shoulder and elbow, solid construction, and a jacket that makes me feel like Steve McQueen. :)
