Shaun Anderson jumping Balaugh Bridge at the 2023

Reflections: Isle of Man TT ’23

It's been a few months since my annual trip to the Isle of Man TT, and busyness got in the way of posting my thoughts on this year's event. Fist and foremost, of course, was the racing. It was incredible, with records falling, and the top riders ( Harrison, Dunlop, Hickman) dominating the podium across the fortnight. BMG -sponsored rider Shaun Anderson, seen in the above photo at Ballaugh Bridge, acquitted himself well and is now a consistent top 12 rider, a huge accomplishment for an independent!

BMG at the Isle of Man TT

It was a memorable fortnight at the 2022 Isle of Man TT for me. Returning after 3 years, seeing old friends, taking in the beautiful island on my trusty Suzuki V-Strom 650 that had been waiting patiently on its battery tender. Most of all, it was a spectacular return to racing, the thrill of which never diminishes. BMG was proud to sponsor riders Shaun Anderson at the TT, and Andy Whale at this summer's reborn Manx Grand Prix! There is no greater event on earth for the motorcycle enthusiast, and the TT is a must- do on your bucket list. But fair warning...go once, and you'll be back again. It's that special. Off-the-Grid on the Isle of Man

We'll be alighting on the Isle of Man after three long years, with the TT Races a firm go. But there is so much more to this magical island, and when the racing isn't on, there is much touring to do. Great backroads, idyllic scenery, fine food and wonderful people. I'll be covering the fortnight again for Motorcycle.com, but here's a column from a few years back that shows that some of the best things during the IOM TT are off-the-grid. https://www.motorcycle.com/features/off-grid-isle-man-2018.html

Rider Magazine reviews the BMG®️Adventure Jacket

The BMG Adventure Jacket has been a stalwart of our line for nearly two decades, and Rider Magazine shows that it is still among the best, most value- packed bits of kit available. Per Rider: "Like an adventure-touring bike, an adventure-touring jacket needs to be ready for anything, come what may. It should provide comfort and protection in a range of conditions and stand up to abuse. The British Motorcycle Gear Adventure Jacket was originally designed for the Dakar Rally, which puts more demands on riders, motorcycles, and gear in a fortnight than run-of-the-mill adventure riding will do in a year (or even a lifetime)."
